Here's some boring tech stuff for those who need it: -1080p docked, 60FPS in single-player or 2-player splitscreen, 30FPS for 3-4 player splitscreen -Handheld mode runs at 720p/60FPS in single-player, no idea about the splitscreen framerate in handheld/tabletop mode but it does 4-player splitscreen -8-system local wireless multiplayer (1-2 players per system, max 12 players) -12-system wired LAN multiplayer (1-2 players per system, max 12 players); each system will require a dock and a USB LAN adapter

You can do 4-player splitscreen on a single system, TV or tabletop mode, but once you start introducing multiple Switches it limits you to 2-player splitscreen per Switch. I've got a VERY specific question. Mario Kart 8 never updated its VS mode so that you could play ALL of the game's normal tracks + DLC in one massive cup. For whatever reason, they forgot to expand the cap past 32 stages. Does anyone know if they changed this?

I loved playing MK8 online, can't wait for this. Of course, I'm away from Friday 28th till Monday 1st.  I can bring my Switch with me, sure, but I'll be busy the whole weekend.

Would someone be willing to break down how the different weights/kart combos work? It's been a long time since I've played a Mariokart game so I am not sure what has changed. I was always all about the koopas.

Before MK8 came out, two of my friends and I did a 32-course run of MKWii, all of us on a team against random CPUs and somehow the enemy team was both: 1. Half baby characters and 2. All the baby characters were terrifyingly good, but we still managed to beat them by the very end We did the same thing when MK8 came out, and wanted to do another once all the DLC was out, but like the previous poster said, they never increased the course limit past 32

I never got to play MK8 on Wii-U but I've always loved what I saw from it. Looking forward to the 28th! A super slick looking MK is why i bought a Switch. I will never be bored again.

I'm guessing not since there are limitations on other modes being restricted to 2 players and the Wii U version didn't support it. It's a shame because I'd like to do 8 player with just two Switches and two TVs.
