Looking to replace my dad's busted power supply and noticed that you can get refurbished ones for a fraction of the price. Any downsides to this? Was looking at this one: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2J558F9275&cm_re=power_supply-_-9SIA2J558F9275-_-Product

Do not buy that. It is garbage quality from a scam seller ("3RAID's Marketplace"?), only buy decent products from real companies. "Refurbished" means someone returned it because they thought it was defective, they didn't notice any obvious problem, so they are selling it again and hoping you won't notice one either. Never buy anything refurbished that could have annoying, difficult to troubleshoot problems. Router? Sure, someone probably just couldn't figure out how to set it up. Motherboard? gently caress no, they returned it because it's defective.
