Same. Accidentally got one of theirs because I wasn't paying attention, was not a fan. Same with their section of the big Justice League riff.

Willing to give Janet Varney a shot, though. I know nothing about Cole Stratton, but she's grown on me in recent months after she popped up on and episode Harmonquest.

Varney/Stratton do a great job on their 80s movie riffs.

In reference to MST3K/Rifftrax/CT editing movies: I am re-watching Cinematic Titanic and they left in the racist comments in East Meets Watts. Of course, it was probably just so they could do a five person spit take.

I know I saw this back in the 80s, but I did not remember a single thing about it besides the glaive.

Only had a couple of glitches in the broadcast. Otherwise, a decent riffing.

Krull is a weird movie. They obviously had a budget but it really feels like they blew it all pretty quickly. So that's how you end up with a movie where the hero never meets anyone who isn't a main cast member and never actually goes anywhere outside of random wilderness. Also he gets a magical weapon that he isn't allowed to use until the very end of the movie and it breaks fairly quickly and is replaced by a much cheaper effect.

And why even have the sci-fi laser guns that are also swords?

Golan/Globus owned Cannon for a few years. Both of those movies listed are Cannon.

I remember seeing a story about them on 60 Minutes back the late 70s. They would go to film festivals and rent out a big room. On one wall would be a giant white board. Along one side was a list of movie titles and a grid across the side of each for investors and how much they were willing to commit.

The movies did not exist. If they got enough money, they would make the movie.

That would be great but there's never been a decent release of that movie and I believe that's because Paul and Gene use their resources to prevent that from happening, which they would almost certainly do to a riffed version too. Gene doesn't have a sense of humour about himself or the band at all and is a litigious guy. On the other hand, if they offered him enough cash, he'd sell you anything, but I don't believe Rifftrax has the cash that would be required.

Gene would probably have to clear all the riffs, too.
