Oath complete! I did this month's challenge. I cleaned my nerd place for Spic and Span:   I'm doing A Recipe for Success right now: Techniques: All the cloth is made with glazes and all metal was weather with pigments. The skeleton was washed, other than it's just layers of paint. June: The banner. July: The sword hilt August: His head is on fire and gives off OSL. September: I added fire to his head and arrows to the horse. The original model:  October: Well yeah. It's an undead rider on a zombie horse. November: The horse has been stomping through the toxic wasteland that my undead live in. December: I built that base out of cardstock, greenstuff, sand and bark. January: Progress shots!    February: I painted the horse a fresh zombie with shiny muscle showing. The rider has a bloody wound in his side. March: I painted some dings and dents in the armor, scratches on the leather and added arrowwounds to the horse. April: The ghost faces on the Sword of Lost Souls(TM).

Oath complete!    Those Fury of Dracula figures are small, lovely and miscast boardgame plastic and I hate them. Really happy that I'll never have to paint them again.  May judgement!Third place, 1 point: with a rebel yell she QQd  A good limited, almost monochromatic, palette on these guys. The colors are bleak but distinct. Very nice. Second place, 2 points: Yeast  A good rat, good highlights and good cloth. A really good piece. First place, 3 points: Red Shoe  The green metal and very dark recesses gives it an almost cartoonish and strange look that I really like. Bonus, 1 point: Dr. Gargunza  This fat jumpjet guy makes me laugh.  June judgement!Third place, 1 point: Zuul the Cat  Nice red and yellow. The turquoise on the hammer gives a nice focal point other than the banner. Second place, 2 points: Booley  Good red, good yellow and good black. I love these guys. First place, 3 points: Signal  This is a crisp as gently caress paintjob. Really nice blending on the sword, and great highlights all around. Bonus, 1 point: with a rebel yell she QQd  You designed and painted this and that's worth a bonus point in my book.  July judgement!Third place, 1 point: The Moon Monster  The rainbow colored light effect is really nice. Second place, 2 points: Red Shoe  Nice cloth, I especially like the white cape. It's a nice desaturated colorscheme that fits well into the game. First place, 3 points: Dr. Gargunza  You've got some nice giants here. Very clean, and the colored metals and blue-greens brings some very nice and subtle color contrast to the figures. Bonus, 1 point: Booley  The shininess is off the charts!

Oath complete! Claiming All together now and Stay awhile and listen for my bad fan fic about burning ghost cows.  I sold my Descent collection and my Fury of Dracula, so this is looking pretty empty. Of Cows and Wizards, A Frostgrave story: "What exactly am I looking at Master?" "It would appear to be the spectral remnants of the thousands who died here, brought back by a common hatred of magic." "But... Why does it look like cows?" "I believe this is where Felstadt's meat was butchered. I suspect that some enterprising wizards set up a magic slaughterhouse to make the process more efficient." The wizard gazes into the city below, where the battle rages. "Now, look at that fellow over there. The one with the enchanted sword." As the apprentice look on, the spectral bovine changes course and charges a soldier. The screams are horrible as the man is crushed beneath the ghostly hooves. "That was Ogden, Master. He was one of our soldiers." The old wizard look bored. "So it goes. We'll just hire another one. You need to learn how to think like a wizard." The old man sends his apprentice a disapproving glare. "Well, how about this, Master." the younger man says as he infuses a pebble with a tiny amount of magic and hurls it into the streets below. As is lands at the feet of three soldiers engaged in fighting, it explodes in a tiny spray of colored sparks. The cows instantly change direction, phases through a building and proceeds to gore and trample the three fighters. The apparation finally moves on when all life has left the bodies. "See, Master. Only one of those three was on our side. That's... a good trade." the apprentice says nervously. Again, the old wizard glares at his apprentice. His face slowly twists into an broad smile. "Well done! That is a proper wizardly way to see things." he says. "Now. Lets have some fun." he continues and picks up a handful of pebbles. Their hideous laughter mixes with the screams and hateful mooing from below.

Holy poo poo, all you guys brought you a-game this month! There were a lot of people on the running for points, but only four will actually get some.
