The first two games allow you to circumvent the whole spirit control thing by sending them right into the midst of the enemies. They go after the nearest NPC when free. HK makes them prioritize the summoner.Tiggum posted:A loving annoying countermeasure that really takes the shine off the fun new grenade launcher you just got. Combine that with the AI being way too grenade-savvy to begin with and grenades themselves being consumables so you don't like to use them in case a better use comes up later, and it adds up to yet another game where they were apparently paranoid about grenades being overpowered and so decided to preemptively ruin them.

HK had the two moderately non-obvious must haves. Enough so that I felt the need to write them up in the before-I-play wiki.

Not sure if that's a really obvious backer portrait or a tribute to Savely Kramarov.

You've mentioned that you don't pay much attention to misplaced custom avatars, but I really feel like the non-combatant bereaved father could have had the wicked-cool katana handle removed from his portrait.

Buzz, on the other hand, will never, EVER pass an optional decking check or be capable of handling combat in the matrix. And, again - this is a part of the design in Dragonfall. Party members are supposed to be worse than the PC would be at whatever, so that you don't feel bad about picking up a role an NPC is already handling. Reversed in HK, to much acclaim.

In original DF, he really was that bad. I imagine that's where a lot of the hate comes from. I guess it's good you don't have to roll a Decker with those changes.

The fan mod Antumbra concludes with an epic confrontation between at least 3 different sides trying to control an area of California. GhostStalker posted:Yeah, I tried splashing into decker for Returns, but I never had the nuyen for both that and my Street Sam's otherwise necessary chrome and guns. I figured since he was a dedicated decker character, Blitz would be able to competently fill that niche in Dragonfall. I just didn't expect him to be so mediocre at it, although he did get the job done, and pretty much crap in combat outside the Matrix.

Going through each individual dialogue choice, screenshotting them all and then choosing what to include in the LP itself is actually one of the more time-consuming parts of this whole thing but it's neat to find new stuff. Of course I can always look at the convo files themselves but that's also a bit of a pain due to the way they're arranged and structured. ... Also, what everyone else said.

Just asking questions here, nothin' bigoted about asking questions" studies actually has a point. Major, minor, whatever, there's a quantifiable and inherent difference. Does that mean that racism becomes the word of the day? I mean, that's what the people publishing these studies want, obviously, but the people who are currently anti-racist. mauman posted:
