Apropos of nothing, anyone remember how the Five Nights At Freddies guy was going on about how his latest game was so sick and twisted that he couldn't in good conscience release it except then he did? Anything come of that, or was it a load of guff and self-manufactured controversy/marketing?

He was just having fun with it.

This might be one of the best years for Music in games, between this and Nier, and Dropmix when that comes out.

So I played some PLAYERUNKNOWNS: BATTLEGROUNDS at a friend's place and I just can't wrap my head around it. It's like dota, except the game ends when you gently caress up or someone murks you. Maybe it's just not for me, I guess.

I mean mostly in the sense that you spend a majority of the early game preparing for a conflict, only in this case if you get ganked or outplayed your game is over and you have to restart in a new game.

I wish the drunk reporter had better rewards for her s. link, because she's funny. My metagaming :(

Yusuke and Yuuki would both work as gay relationships I think but Atlus sucks and won't put them in persona, for some loving reason.

Some people say that Waluigi is a stupid name, and you can't just take the 'Wa' from 'Wario' and put it in front of 'Luigi', because that's lazy.

Those people are wrong and dumb. The 'Wa' in Wario's name comes from 'warui' meaning bad, and it actually fits Walui-gi better than it does War-io.

Not if you pronounce it wa-rui-oh. ;)

There are plenty of video games that involve politics, you just don't recognize the viewpoint they are espousing or missing what they're referencing. People become insufferable when they recognize they are the target, not when politics are involved.

The plot is actually cobbled together from several sources (off the top of my head we've got: The Butterfly Effect, Donnie Darko, Twin Peaks, The Catcher in the Rye and probably a few more I'm forgetting). While that sounds like a huge mess it actually kind of works, the dialouge can be a bit cringe worthy at times but overall it's a pretty charming game with an interesting story and characters.

Speaking of which, what are the odds we'll get our first trailer for the sequel by E3?

I think the presser they put out recently implied that they only just started working on it, so we most likely won't see anything this year.
