how are those trails of cold steel games, and should i play them on my pstv because i dont wanna have to find my dualshock 3 and ps3 wherever th ehell it is
at least the first game has a pretty sluggish pace but if you liked the Trails in the Sky combat you should at least enjoy cold steel. there's some differences, some simplifications of the quartz system.

be prepared for lengthy times of not-combat though where you're just running around doing errands, either on your field story or at the school. and cutscenes cutscenes cutscenes

Yes there are

The boring as poo poo combat for starters

i beat FF12 and i beat rogue galaxy but thinking of xenoblade's combat again makes me want to take a nap at my desk. whee mashing cooldowns as looped animations play over and over. FF12 got pegged as the 'single-player MMO' but xenoblade is the one that actually feels like playing an MMO, and not a good one

on a mildly funny note i stopped at xenoblade where some of you stopped at rogue galaxy: the prison

The prison in xenoblade is like 3 times further than in rg
i honestly wouldn't know, cause it's been so long since i played both games. I just know I stopped at A Point in xenoblade, whether it was early or middle of the game, and that point was the prison island

mostly if a JRPG's combat doesn't keep me entertained it will not hold me for long

whatever you might've thought was bad in the anime, well, it gets a whole lot worse in the manga
the 2nd season introduces the other guy that basically topples the whole thing

the first season ends around christmas so like. it's a pretty good stopping place.

i imagine if skip beat had a second season i would just tell people to stop at the end of season 1 as well

here's a video game thing that will only make sense today

I'm an ugly white non binary so you were close

I generally don't do multi games unless with friends. I went in the SA discord briefly and it was terrible so I left. Pretty much any Discord of total strangers seems to be terrible

And i have had a positive voice chat experience with randos exactly never

you'd have to be a little more specific than that since there have been about six thousand humble bundles

how about, should I play Thomas Was Alone, INSIDE, FEZ, or The Stanley Parable first?

or Ori and the Blind Forest or You Have to Win the Game, or my old physical cartridge of Link to the Past that I never got very far on, or arrrgggghhh
If you care about how long the game is going to be, Thomas Was Alone and Win the Game are the shortest (although I think you mean Super Win the Game which is slightly longer). Stanley Parable playthroughs are each pretty short as well.

Ori is the top Metroidvania and better than the Win the Games so do Ori before those.

INSIDE might take you one night, it's a moody ride with a crazy ending but I think you'll appreciate it more if you're into games like Another World/Heart of Darkness. it doesn't have intentional input lag like those games though

FEZ is a great puzzle game but it will consume your life while you play it. Don't feel compelled to 100% the game since doing so involves some really esoteric poo poo. There's plenty to enjoy without needing to 100% it.

I'd rank the games Ori > FEZ > Stanley > INSIDE > Thomas > Win the Game
