Actually I've got Disgaea 3, 4 and D2 that I still need to beat. Which one is the best?

I think I'll go with Disgaea 3, I've gotten through a good chunk of it before. Any tips? Skills I should rush, what monsters are worth using if any, stuff like that please

Thieves are great for late game stuff since their steal chance caps out at 99%. Also, fuse a couple heavy knights since they get the longest throw range and can speed up item world runs significantly. Though most of this is only relevant in the post game, so if you're planning on just doing the story stuff, then you can basically do whatever. What do you mean "fuse"

Caster monsters might not get the range/aoe bonus that humans do from staff weapon master either, idr about D3. Caster monsters have a history of being crappy in Disgaea, back in D1 there weren't even monster weapons with caster stats on it. Yeah okay, fair enough. Speaking of which, are Prinnies solid? I'm not sure if they're meant to be a staple of my forces or just "here's your lovely starting guys"

I didn't get the good ending in Disgaea 1 because I threw Prinnies and APPARENTLY that's a friendly fire kill.

Got to Earthen Peak on my cleric in DS2. My lightning mace indeed hits hard and true, but once in a while I find myself wishing I had something faster. Put in the levels to use a halberd but I don't know if it's for me. Same goes for the bastard sword. It's a bit disappointing, but in a way it's rather comforting to know the mace alone shall be my light.

I'm kinda worried about "wasting" points in dex but I am incredibly tempted to try out some boss soul weapons in DS2. Please advise.
