Sure pick the guy who can't remember enough to defend himself.

Asante Samuel played like half a season with a shoulder so badly injured he passed out from the pain every time he landed on it.

Like once or twice a game he'd have to be hauled off and doped up before being sent back out

Fair point, but he wasn't on the team in 2010.

And he was somehow still their best option at corner.

It's true, but it's still a dumb move.*

He's missed a decent number of games, but nothing that I think is particularly abnormal. His injury isn't thought to be a career-altering one and I don't know if there's really compelling evidence that he is more likely to get hurt than any other wide receiver. The Bills are likely going to end up paying ~$4 million more for him next year on the franchise tag and lose a lot of leverage on a contract extension.

*barring the possibility that the Bills know more about Sammy's foot/health than they're letting on.

Yeah he was. Probably one of the best corners in the league for a good 5 or 6 years before the injuries piled up too high.

gently caress that.

I still wish Jamaal well but now I have to hope that he averages 5 yards a carry but never scores and somehow never helps the Broncos to score on any drive he's in for.

It's quite possible he's just done of course, but I don't want to cheer for that

Why would Jamaal want to go to the Broncos and play with Trevor Simian anyways? If there's one franchise that's nose diving, it's the Broncos right now.

We've still got so many holes to plug it doesn't matter if we start a waffle at QB, we won't do jack poo poo this year. There was no reason to draft a mediocre QB early this year and then throw them raw into the meatgrinder like we did with Alex Smith. Just loving let some journeymen take the hits and hope next year's class has someone worth it.

I'd actually kinda like them to start a waffle at QB, so we could guarantee the first overall pick next year.

What I want out of the team is enough wins to keep manbaby Jed from purging the coaching staff again, but not enough to gently caress up our drafting.

It's like that episode of that sitcom where the high school kid got into an advanced class by mistake and had to get a grade that was just high enough to pass but low enough he'd get tossed from the class.
