I know it is cool and fun to rip on anime, but sometimes a movie transcends the genre and makes it out into the mainstream. Spirited Away is perhaps the most well regarded of these films. Most people don't bat an eye at Spirited Away because it is just that good. Your Name appears to be next in line. Go ahead and talk about how much anime sucks. Or tell others how wonderful this film is. Whatever, I don't care. I just couldn't find a thread in C/D or animeland and GBS is more fun, anyway. Yeah Immah watch this on BruRay. I don't trust the "crowd" in the theater is to not smell and not to loudly mst3k the loving movie. I remember the times when this anime poo poo was hard to find so if it was in theaters, you sat down, you shut the gently caress up, and you watched a loving movie on the off-chance it was good because that was likely your only opportunity aside from like a lovely VHS fansub.

Koe no Katachi is better. Your Name has one of those confusing magic time travel bullshit coupled with some dumb plotholes. Having watched both on the big screen I much prefer A Silent Voice since it's a much more relatable story.

here in Japan I teach university students and basically all of them agree that anime is kid poo poo and no one watches this stuff except like loser high schoolers and shut in nerds also that movie is more stereotypical magic body swap slice of life boy meets girl garbage if it wasn't an annie-may you would say it was contrived garbage which it is
