I'm the old fart. The boys are fourteen (drums) and twelve (bass). They wanted to play this, so they learned it last week. The 14 year old made the video, I just played guitar and really sucked at vocals but drat. I'm so proud of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWPC7v5H9Ps

My two kids (11 and 14) will sit and jam with me also. It's great to impart on them something that's so important to me. Curious if other goons got their interest in music from their parents? Mine were not musical at all but my mom forced me to take piano lessons at a young age.

My parents are both musical - dad played/sang at coffee houses way back in the day, mom sang in the Atlanta chorus. My dad's mom had a classical piano radio show in San Francisco in the forties. So yeah, if my kids didn't play music, I think I'd have had to send them back to the orphanage. They've started a band with other kids; the guitar player didn't show up for rehearsal and it killed me - KILLED ME - that they just managed fine without a guitar player, I just sat in my bedroom, crying into a beer.
