I just mainlined four hours of Twin Peaks and I don't think I know which way is up anymore. There's so much I love and so much more I could say, but what I really hits home is that 'Dougie' is breaking my heart, goddamn.

I thought that now would be a good time to watch The Missing Pieces for the first time. Holy gently caress, the extended cut of the meeting above the convenience store is nightmarish. I might need to rewatch the new episodes at some point soon, with the missing pieces scenes in mind. I've already noticed some things crop up here that I saw in the new season. I'm taking advantage of a long weekend to finally do a proper rewatch of season three. I just finished episode eight, and holy gently caress, it's still a masterpiece. I dunno if there's ever gonna be an hour of tv as good as that again.

I saw Finn Andrews of the Veils play a show last night, and he played Axlotl (which is super loving good with just him an a piano, btw). There's something real cool about seeing a song from the Roadhouse being played in a venue that's aesthetically pretty similar. It's not much, but in this hellworld I'll take what I can get.
