I probably won't use the fiesta mod this time. That being the case, I might go back to the SNES version of the game. Is there any compelling reason to stick with the GBA version?

I like the gba translation over the snes one, but that can be subjective.

Could have been worse, I guess, at least she had the healing rod equipped. Also monsters seemed to really like targeting her, so it honestly wasn't that bad aside from being slow as hell.

This was a Popular 5th Job run, with Red Mage dying with Galuf. For the best, I might have been crazy enough to grind dual cast twice. Ninja didnt do much, since the rest of the team was so powerful but it was fun. Onto trying the randomizer.

Does doublehand not work with Goblin Punch? I assumed it would since it changes the sheet damage, but unless I missed some variable in the damage it's not.

Also, the killer bow is weird. No proc effect, the target just dies. I wouldn't even have noticed it was happening if I hadn't one-shot a reflect knight with 250 damage. It even works on non-heavy undead.

I think bows are coded that way so their procs work with rapid shot, which ignores all other weapon procs. As for killing undead, I dont know, um it headshot.

Yeah, goblin punch uses the base stats of the weapon, not the buffed version from running away. So excalipoor is ok to use with goblin punch, or brave blade.

I somehow just found out that you can get a wind drake in world 3 by going to the top of castle Bal. I don't know how many times I've played FFV without ever trying that.

You never have to, the drake is worse than the airship and cant go where the black chocobo lets you get to.

On the other hand, if you are playing the SNES and I guess PS1 version, if you happen to have access to time magic, you can do a glitch in world 3. After you enter Guido's cave and have all the cutscenes that takes you to the library, if you teleport out of the library it will take you back to Guido's cave. From there you can get to the phantom village and the black chocobo. This can lead to fighting Melusine with all 4 party members, but you have to beat the wind temple which requires the wind drake to get to and from there enter fork tower which the game will put Lenna back on the team. you dont have to complete the tower, just enter and leave.

A fun glitch to do if it happens to come up.

Is it possible to beat Omega with Bard/Time Mage/White Mage/Mime? Even with double-sing, he doesn't stay locked down for hardly any time at all, and I haven't found anything that can really hurt him.

Time Mage lets you Quick Sap him. Basically, enter the fight with someone wearing a reflect ring, then cast quick. With the first action, break a poison rod on the reflected person and just wait. Dont use your second action. Omega will be frozen but he will have the sap status on him for as long as you're still in the second quick turn and he'll be taking the damage. Wait long enough and he will die.
