Wait so they're removing faction quests but not removing the terrible stealth missions? The entire reason I stopped playing was because the quests I still had to do in solomon isle were all mandatory stealth missions. :psyduck:

Is there any change to those or are they still 'you get seen, back to the start despite the enemy who spotted you being much lower level than you'?

Chances are they made the enemies all invincible.

See, here's the thing with the stealth missions: one way to perfect them was to use Red Mist to instantly kill the patrolling enemy, or use your Wings of Ophanim to smite really tough foes.

A second change they likely made is preventing someone from doing it for you for the perfect run achievement. I would bet my bottom dollar that is one of two changes they made.

We used to clear them all by using the large dog pet that blocked vision and had collision. They took that out when someone sat with a golden retriever at the lighthouse and no one could get to the writer up there anymore. Then we used to just clear them all with Lair Dynamite and kill all the loving mobs in it in one shot but they fixed that when everyone found out again. This ended up with people bringing in the last of the lesser know bugs into the maps to clear them. Mine was the filth rain effect.

Is anyone else disturbed by the amount of people asking for full nudity in the game? Even adding the nipples to enemies was a little bit much but that's fine if they want to make it a bit realistic. Asking for the ability to make all players and NPCs naked with fully modeled cock and balls or vaginas is just a level of autism I'm lucky I don't understand.

Weirdly enough, the arguments for it are either "oh it makes the game so much immersive" or "this was responsible for 99% of all Conan Exiles sales so just think of the profits!"

Are any of you autists in the group of people whose experience would be enriched if old lady Norma had nice floppy granny tits that you could ogle? If so, I'd really like to hear how and also what the gently caress is wrong with your broken brain.

E: Just loving stealth the stealth missions. What the gently caress is so hard about them? Aggro ranges are really really small, cameras have really obvious spotlights and patterns, and the jumping/laser grids are few and far between. I've never heard of anyone needing to kill the NPCs to cheese them.

Oh, and don't worry, the junkyard "the floor is lava" achieve is still alive and well.

Just to repeat that my main concern about all this is that I'd like an option to give my girls panties when wearing skirts/dresses - ideally with choice of colour via an underwear tab. Not because nudity offends me but just because most of my girls would wear panties, and pretty much all of them wear skirts and dresses pretty much all the time. Ideally there would also be choice to make them anatomically correct nude if I feel like it. Or wear sexy undies (with stockings) if I feel like it. I'm always happy to pay through the nose for cosmetic options - even if I don't use them much or (it turns out) at all. But in public my chars would wear nice skirts/dresses - and just wouldn't 'go commando' while doing so. Most would wear normal white panties, some pink, maybe one char archetype would wear black, so it'd be nice to choose.

Maybe add to the OP that Lairs are now late-endgame raids (presumably regional and world bosses are going to be fuckoff hard).

There are now daily login rewards like Guild Wars 2 where the days are simply "logged in x days total divided by the number of total rewards (x mod d)" and not "logged in x consecutive days".

Current rewards are:

Anything can be beat by just flooding it with assholes. I don't think during my entire clearing of all the region bosses that we had an arena we couldn't break into. Although after I beat my loving head against the wall did they finally realize that they forgot to do anything with the Lairs after that game had been launched for roughly six months. I like to think that our efforts forced them to take another pass on the whole system given the amount of effort involved and the flooding of GM tickets for the Region boss kills people didn't get the achievement for so they can get that spiked red jacket.

Well they did add the third tier raid boss didn't they? I never did those because gently caress that poo poo.

Grind mobs for pieces. Use pieces to fight bosses who drop new pieces. Fight those bosses to get pieces for the next step up to get loot that probably wasn't worth the time.

I remember being a very under geared player with trash equipment being carried in many lair boss kills by kind goons.

There was gently caress all useful loot that dropped. Rather a turn off so yes, they definitely needed to do something with lair content.

Yeah once we know exact which pieces of endgame will be in at launch I'll add it. Right now we know scenarios, elites, and lairs but no idea about when we're getting nightmares and if the new Solomon Island raid will be in at launch or not. A quest got added for it this round but you can't click it to see the details.

Also new Blade is rad and will probably be the most played weapon by far. You could probably play it as a solo weapon it's so good.

Edit: This loving nudity thread. How the gently caress does it have the most posts of any thread on the forum? I hate everyone who plays this game.

Did they remove that dumbass escalation debuff (Exposed) that made it so that only thing that mattered was that someone had escalation? There is also the leech life effects from Rifle that were pretty much required to kill Dr Klien on the bridge. A great deal of the boss fights are gonna need to be reworked if they changed the skills as heavy as they sound. If the Aux weapons are not in yet then they can't put in the raids because they pretty much require rocket jump for beginners to clear it.

Half the weapons have a 20 second cooldown ability to apply Exposed (single stack damage taken debuff now) and half the classes have a 20 second cooldown to apply Debilitated (single stack damage dealt debuff). Pistols has an elite that applies both. You can't stack leech that much any more. Even the good leech abilities now are only a few %. Many of the bosses have gotten reworked to account for the lack of debuffs/interrupts. However, we haven't seen how this translates to Nightmare yet.

So do you guys think that weapon swapping in order to make it through certain encounters/zones will be a thing of the past and we'll only unlock additional weapons for flavor/completionism or to swap specs? It seems like there's much less reliance on managing mob states and trying to get the right combo of conditions and triggers.

Probably not as much as it was. There are't really spammable debuffs anymore and most weapons are decent at single target and aoe. There will still be optimal setups that some people want but I don't think it will be weapon swap heavy like TSW.

It will also be pretty hard to weapon swap with the way upgrades and weapon expertise works.

No, all the faction leaders are still in and they still give you flavor text for missions. However, the faction versus faction missions like Parking Garage are gone. The missions you would get whenever you got a faction rank. Devs have been radio silent on why.

Ah. They probably have some replacement content but it's still conceptual and won't be ready for launch because Funcom is super tight on resources & development time.

Just a guess.

Maybe they don't want anything limited to just some players? Especially if it's going to continue to be alt-unfriendly. (I had to Google this "parking garage" thing, because that's a mission for lameos and squares. :D)

Do the weapons/abilities combo or interact with each other? Like is the assassin a magic swordman who casts spells with or between attacks, or a swordman who can switch weapon to then be a mage but no sword?

Dark_Swordmaster

Not explicitly. They combo, but only because you used your other ability after you used your initial one. The most you can hope for is one adding a status to a mob and then another proc'ing off of it.

The first weapon unlock is pretty cheap: 20k for actives, 20k for passives. That's only 4 days of challenges. So you could swap to pistols/fists pretty quickly.

Or find some cheap boxed copy of TSW before SWL releases and then you unlock all weapons.

Nope! I remember thinking the urban fantasy/horror setting is interesting but didn't get it - probably because monthly fees? And I seem to remember something about grouping/optimal rotations being kind of a thing? And then it just kind of fell of my radar until now.

I don't much care for dungeons, raids and the usual mmo stuff so this revival with it's re-branding to action rpg with occasional multiplayer seems to be pretty much aimed at casuals like me, who just want to play dress up, explore the stories, and blow up demons /zombies / Cthullu for a couple of weeks/months.

Then you're missing out because the dungeons are fun and have story.

Polaris: Ties into the story of Solomon Islands and what happened after the Vikings rolled up to beat up the Mayans...bad things

Hell Raised: Part one of the three part liberation of Hell

Darkness War: A dream quest about the time the Mayans invaded in an effort to release The Dreamers

Ankh: An ancient ruin full of mummies, filth, and Orochi

Hell Fallen: Part two of the liberation of Hell also the weakest dungeon IMO

The Facility: An old Cold War bunker where the Soviets tried and succeeded to create a Star Child

Hell Eternal: The last part of the liberation of Hell

Slaughterhouse: A Soviet research facility where they tried to make super soldiers with vampire DNA

The raids only one has any story at all and it's not very good.

I was a "no grouping for me" person, but I did eventually manage to attach myself to some goonish parties and wound up getting to do all of the dungeons; they are quite enjoyable, story-wise. I recommend giving them a shot.

Edit: It's an enormous help if you get a group with enough patience to explain tactics to you, because there's some stuff that's confusing and that will kill you PDQ.
