I loved this show when it was on and it's worth a rewatch once a year. When you compare it to most 90's sitcoms I'm amazed that anything this funny remained on the air.

In meteorology, vorticity often refers to a measurement of the spin of horizontally flowing air about a vertical axis.
It's the only good thing Joe Rogan and Andy Dick ever did.

Rogan is a net good on humanity, even if he is a bit of a lunk. Andy Dick is some kind-of gremlin wearing a human suit, yet I am never as bothered by him on-screen as others are.

Andy Dick is very good at what he does: Playing a weird, creepy dude who is annoying as hell. Some goons see that as cultural appropriation.

Dave Foley has had some pretty lovely luck. He divorced from his wife midway through News Radio's run and so his child support payments were based on his current contract with the network. Shortly after when Hartman was killed and the show tanked, he still was legally required to pay huge child support amounts to his wife despite being basically unemployed.

According to his wiki:

It's really not hard to get your child support adjusted to your current income. He's probably talking about arrears from not paying the full amount of child support when he was rich. Iirc in his Canadian jurisdiction payments on arrears aren't significantly decreased (if at all) if your income drops. Imo he's probably lying to get sympathy by making it sound like he can't reduce his current child support rather than arrears payments.

The best Lovitz episode was the one where Jimmy was afraid of hippies.

The best non Lovitz episode was all of them.

The show has held up over time surprisingly well. This is because it didn't focus on contemporary issues or technologies. It was all about interpersonal relationships and office hi-jinx.
