Are you sure Crash 1 want always like that, because that's how I remember it. Also whoever said crash 1 had the the PlayStation era bad save system taint reaped all of you

Honestly, if the control is different, I think it goes both ways. I just did the sky bridge level in the third world and that would've been WAY worse if I couldn't stop on a dime (and despite the amount of times I just died I do remember it being WAY worse).

I think out of the 4 major platformer franchises that the PS2 had, only Ratchet and Clank had better sequel, with both Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper trading tight design for an open world that made them not quite as good as the first in the series. Also the first Rocket Knight game was easily the best in the series. The first Bubsy was also probably the best one, it's just that it was also a pile a crap.
