Apparently the Mail's headline about fury over lefty bias is based on one tweet where someone went 'hmm this audience seems fairly left' and then followed with a tweet saying that wasn't meant as a criticism.

I don't think we should get too carried away by YouGov. It's a big outlier and the other polls have Labour behind by ten (and even YouGov still has them behind). Does anyone know how many people watched last night?

themrguy posted:Does whoever wins HAVE to to do brexit? The ref. was nonbinding, couldn't lib dems hypothetically win and then be all "lol nope" to exiting? Has anything legally binding been signed? Article 50 has been triggered. It can be evoked but only if all EU member states agree to revoke it (which they have indicated they would). It would be political suicide to do, though.

Intrinsic Field Marshal posted:The problem is with the term social justice is that its a nebulous term that extends from ensuring the freedom of minorities (including gay people and disabled people) to not be persecuted for being minorities to cultural appropriation (how dare you run a taco stand BIGOT) and making phrases like mansplaining a thing Jesus Christ can't you summarise this in five words or fewer, I don't have the patience to read all this

Intrinsic Field Marshal posted:Just because I have the freedom to do such an action doesn't mean I should morally make that choice nor would I want to. The very final thing, that, oh my god this loving triggered me. It was just, on a, on a deep seated level I couldn't get over this. This really loving pissed me off. So brace yourselves. This was a tweet from Bernie Sanders' account AND I KNOW, that Bernie Sanders doesn't do the tweeting himself, but it's his name. It's verified, he chooses the people who tweet in his name so he can take some loving responsibility for what they say, because he has signed off on it. "President Trump, you made a big mistake. By trying to divide us by race, religion, gender and nationality you actually brought us closer." with 300,000 retweets gently caress, gently caress You! gently caress you, Bernie. gently caress off. Trump did not try to divide you by race religion gender and nashamanama YOU are the cunts dividing people by race and gender!! IT'S A loving WOMEN'S MARCH, BERNIE gently caress. God this is a trrhrrhrhrhrh! Holy loving poo poo I'm totally triggered by this. Bvfvfvvfvvf.

I think the Tories will have a 10-12% vote advantage and win a 60-80 seat majority. I desperately want to be wrong though. And it has been lovely over the last few weeks to see so many in Britain come to the conclusion that Corbyn is the boy.

Pissflaps posted:Milliband improved on Brown's result. You've claimed that the only measure of success is in seats won. This is a pretty convincing definition, so how can you square Red Ed losing seats with him improving over Gordon Brown? I'm glad that you will be voting for the Labour Party tomorrow. I too will be continuing my lifelong Labour voting streak.

Stories of long lines of students is a bit encouraging, but I still reckon they'll be concentrated in university towns which were always going to go Labour/not Tory. Deep despair alive.
