I'm eagerly awaiting the next approval poll given that the last one was before the fallout from the fire. Am hoping the graph of approval over time gets even more hilarious.

The problem with anything screen based is you can't modify it or doodle on it, you can't rifle through it quickly, searching/scanning sucks and the fact you can only have one screen at once (or two if you use dual monitors but w/e) is a problem too. You can have like 8 different bits of paper immediately to hand. everybody get a look at this pleb who can't afford eight kindles

We're getting married in exactly one week, to the minute.. and the thought that at last a politician is speaking like this and being heard just gave us hope that perhaps our future kids will not be so badly hosed after all.. I hear if the mother listens to Jeremy Corbyn speeches while pregnant the child grows up to smash capitalism. can any expectant parents on the forums try this out and confirm/deny please

Braggart posted:Agreed on that. The enthusiasm is extremely important if we're going to see real change. And so what if it gets cringeworthy sometimes? Enthusiasm does that. It's amazing that we've got a genuinely good person who is genuinely loved by so many people and who has a real shot at leading this country. What a change from the last decade. I 100% bet in twenty years or so when it turns out that jeremy corbyn did at least 1 thing wrong once that records of this meming will be shown and people will laugh at those 2010s morons who hoped for a thing, but we're going to get laughed at anyway for how silly our clothes look and for not predicting the Giant Thing That Happened In June 2023, so we might as well roll with it Loving Africa Chaps posted:It's not on there yet and they've normally been available straight away a version appears on Iplayer in ten minutes with a speech by nigel farage dubbed over

We already know they don't give a poo poo about poor people or their situations. corbyn is fine at enticing the unwashed masses with his talk of magic money trees but there's no way that sort of nonsense is going to hold with our sensible well-bred betters

My favourite concert I've been to so far was in a seated venue where everyone stayed respectfully seated throughout, but then dancing in public is just something i cannot get my brain to do so that's probably more of a statement about myself than any objective truth about live music. Still I will gladly lead the political movement for Acceptance of People Who Aren't Currently Dancing it's a key issue affecting the youth.Jose posted:lol You do realise this is a photoshop, right?

I feel like there is at least one issue that Mhairi might disagree with Scottish Labour on, i.e. scottish independence, and I can definitely see ScotLab refusing to accept her based on that due to how much NO INDYREF EVER is a key part of their messaging that a sizable chunk of the party won't compromise without a fight even if a candidate is only in favour of it at some point rather than proposing a referendum Right Now. I imagine her overall goal at the moment is to move the SNP in a leftwards direction from the inside. If she was going to jump ship, which I doubt she will tbh, then she'd probably be more likely to join the Greens at this point, and she might have the name recognition to still keep the seat.

Jedit posted:I get the impression that she's pretty disillusioned by the SNP as well. If it hadn't been for the snap election she had said she wasn't going to stand again. What I can find her saying about being an MP was about being disillusioned by politics in Westminster rather than about the SNP specifically, though of course if she had anything against them she wouldn't be saying it now.
