It's good lyrical rap in a nice crisp accent with good electronica beats on the back. Like, three things I like all put together.

Entropy238 posted:I don't see why not. Something really tangible like an email leak showing clear ties between farage and putin could turn it in to a pretty palatable position for a lot of people. Why? The referendum wasn't binding, the UK is doing this because the government wants to and because it has a plurality of popular support, neither of those change if it turns out that nigel farage likes putin's polonium penis up his bum.

Entropy238 posted:Just to be clear, I did say if tangible evidence was available - I haven't stated I believe that it actually exists. You still appear to the operating under the belief that the reason brexit is happening is because the government has to do what the referendum said. Which is incorrect.

Entropy238 posted:Where there's a will there's a way. They're doing it because it's popular. And not because it's actually majority popular either, because it never was, it had a slightly larger plurality than the alternative. Instead it was seized upon by the tories and UKIP and, to a degree, Labour, as a means to win support. That isn't going to go away regardless of what people say about the referendum and it is far too late in the day for anyone to renege on delivering some form of brexit unless we have a lib dem government next week. Technicalities about the referendum don't remotely change the reasons why brexit is happening which are: the UK is full of twats and: politicians are hungry to use it to win votes.

I like the idea that Michael Gove's missus is maniacally trying to drive him insane by telling the world how terrible he is in bed.

I have an odd relationship with the film Brazil because when I was young someone recorded a disney film or something over the tape with Brazil on it, but the way they did it, it cuts from near the end of the Disney movie to sort of half way through Brazil and I watched it and got very very confused and a bit disturbed. For a long time I didn't actually realize that it was a separate film because it's sufficiently surreal that I thought it was part of the film I was watching.

Of course strictly even seawater hydrates you, it just also fucks up your salt levels and causes your body to kill itself.

dex_sda posted:More accurate to say it's hydrating you temporarily, right? To even out the balance, your body will very soon spend more water than it gets from seawater. I'd probably describe it as hydrating you but also giving you salt poisoning. High salt intake will kill you even if you drink a lot of water with it, your body has a maximum salinity it can tolerate before the sodium just fucks up your other functions too much. Even if she just produces mindless soundbites (see that interview with the Plymouth Herald) the media can still talk about Strong And Stable No Deal Better Than A Bad Deal and go back to the Corbyn smear stories. They can't spin her simply not making appearances anything like as easily. You clearly underestimate how hard she's thinking about brexit. On June 9th she will emerge from her chrysalis a transcendent being, the embodiment of brexit, and all of britain will be liberated from this unelected reality.

Not a problem compared to the waves of ~80 degree air coming off the engine of a motorbike, the rain was actually fairly welcome. Some may mock bikers but when climate change really hits and all of Britain is a Mad Max hellscape we're the only ones who aren't going to be dying of heatstroke. I own one leather jacket and while it is quite waterproof even wearing it open I sweat like a tory in a primary school even in winter.

Obviously these are designed to highlight the debate, rather than to be functional, everyday solutions, but it's a really interesting issue, and it feels like we're on the cusp of it becoming a major factor in society. If the cyberpunk future actually happens because everyone starts dressing like a lunatic to evade face recognition I will consider that a substantial improvement over the alternative tbh.
