Charlotte always looks like she's cutting promos at gunpoint. Just staring at the hard cam and blowing through her lines. It's not great.

Kalisto/Crews ***1/4 Miz/Ambrose ***1/4 Swann & Sasha/Dar & Alicia **1/2 Alexa/Bayley DUD Shemus & Cesaro/Hardyz ***1/4 Neville/Aries ***1/4 Five way ****1/2 Dave is openly generous when it comes to rating bad WWE matches, so Alexa/Bayley getting the DUD while House of Horrors didn't is ... something.

OK OK guys, House of Horrors did have some fun individual moments, but let's not bend over backwards here. I can only take so much ironic shitposting, and "House of Horrors was actually good" is a line I'm not willing to cross. Be careful.

If the Cavs hang on to win tonight Game 5 will be on Monday night. Raw may as well take the week off.

VJeff posted:Man, next week is gonna have Brock and it's still gonna get murdered. I'm guessing they either use Brock in the first hour before the game starts, or just fart around until halftime and then bring him out. The NBA Finals schedule has been out for months, so it's not like they're being caught off-guard. They clearly booked Brock on this specific date as a counter-programming play.

I thought for sure House of Horrors had a lock on Worst Match of the Year, but after giving it some thought it kinda has to be Bayley/Alexa, right? House of Horrors was bad on multiple levels -- dumb concept they didn't put enough thought into, too boring to be fun, too serious to enjoy as ironic camp -- but in the end everyone just moved on. Randy and Bray are still main event players, and it seems like this has already been swept under the rug. In 10 years WWE will treat it like they do Gobbledy Gooker and Kennel From Hell, as a playful "ha ha what were we thinking" joke thing. Alexa/Bayley, on the other hand, was an active hatchet job. Horrible Russo-esque gimmick they never bothered to explain (the person who grabs the kendo stick off the pole can legally use it, but the other person can also use it because dot dot dot rules are hard). Too short to breathe or go anywhere, or even remind us why these women are supposed to be good and worthy title contenders. (Remember when Bayley carried Alexa to her best main roster match just a month prior, and also to her best NXT matches back in the day? You probably didn't until I brought it up.) Whether intentional or not, they destroyed Bayley's credibility, and also hurt Alexa by association. Talk up her promo skills all you want, but she was in that match and the "This is your life" segment, and that stink doesn't wash off overnight. You also can't take the Raw women's title seriously since it was involved in all of this nonsense. Just a disaster in every conceivable way you can think of.
