well you see, I start with fine vellum stock, and trim it by hand to standard punch card size. it takes a sharp eye and a good pair of shears, but with enough practice you get good enough to do it without any templates or guides. then I hand number the cards with India ink and a good silver nib. for punching, I use a custom hand punch I commissioned from a metal smith in Portland. it takes a long time to write anything but I think the attention to detail makes a huge impact in how it runs on the ol' timeshare
