for me it was between Tavares/Seguin/Schiefele/Tarasenko. Scheifele's 20% shooting percentage scared me a little, even if he's younger than Seguin. Tarasenko is nasty but he's on the wing, and I think Tavares might be the best of the four but he's a bit older. I wouldn't have been unhappy with any of them but I think Seguin was the right choice.

Looks like I can pick in about a minute? I'll edit this post. Anyway editing this to homer it up and take Cory Schneider. My team is more or less win now (although it's not really that old) and Schneider should rebound and do well with a real team in front of him. Rask definitely should have went ahead of Andersen. Talbot too. There's a case to be made ahead of Schneider even, I debated for a while but I had Rask last draft.

I think it's debatable that Rask is past his prime and we're also talking about the goalie with the all-time highest regular season save percentage. It's weird not drafting precious young boys but I imagine I'll have to start doing that soon. I think I took Schneider too early and shoulda taken Manson or Carlson over one of my Swedes. e: I like a lot of the same teams everyone is mentioning and also I think stab's team is very good outside of the Seabrook pick. thufir and laderhan have good interesting teams too, and Ginette potentially might be better than Real Canadiens. Honestly there aren't a lot of teams that don't look pretty good for either right now or for the future I think the draft has gone well if a bit younger than usual. I like Good Soldier's team. I think Kopitar rebounds and Tavares/Kopitar + that surrounding core will be really nice. I want to say I took Honka like two or three drafts ago. I'm surprised they didn't bring him up sooner but I guess with Klingberg coming in like he did (and also being a RHS) they could be a little more patient. Man I hope St. Louis and Chicago just flame out this year. Winnipeg, Dallas, and Nashville have such cool teams and interesting young players. e: Would have liked to have gotten Dadonov too, but I figured he would go pretty soon after Shipper.
