There is no reason not to fire Butch now during the bye week and get someone as interim and get the coaching search started for the end of the year. We are in YEAR 5 and we shouldn't be putting games against South Carolina, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt in the "tossup" win column. IT'S YEAR 5. Those games should be automatic wins and we shouldn't be worrying about them. Smart has Georgia playing great football in year loving 2, there's no reason Butch should have a team this lovely full of 4 and 5 star talent with how long he has been there. Something needs to be done NOW.

Tennessee’s staff has been complete poo poo at developing talent during Jones’ tenure and I’ve talked about it for years. It’s a huge issue. Tennessee has the biggest recruiting budget iirc In the country, and in-state talent has been improving over the last decade, especially in the middle Tennessee area. Recruiting ain’t the problem.
