So I played a little bit when SB first launched, tried out RDM and remember liking it, but my IRL friends stopped playing so I quit after a while.\ Rejoined just yesterday. followed the instructions in the OP, got into PBC. Any guides on figuring out this game's plot? I've always had kind of a difficult time figuring out what I should be doing in this game since literally everything is a Class and needs to be leveled. AFAIK I was progressing through the Heavensword storyline? I'm in an icy waste and I think just unlocked flying?

Hi! Given WoW is currently pooping the proverbial bed, I figured I'd come back to FF14 for a bit. I had purchased a boost potion thing so I was at the beginning of the... Heavensword? content? I was in the mountains  Is there a quick and dirty primer on the story to refresh my memory, so I know who all these angsty children npcs are?

How much stuff in this game is soloable at level cap? Coming from World of Warcraft, at level cap pretty much any class can solo old endgame content up to at least "Current expansion minus 2", most classes can solo "current expansion minus 1", and a handful of classes can solo current max level content, albeit usually individual bosses not entire raids. I'd like to be able to go back to old content to get gear for Fashion It'd either be as a RDM, NIN, or AST.

Someone mentioned airships are coming in the next patch/expansion. Are they going to be a Gil sink, or will they be obtained through the story? If the former, do we have any idea how much they might cost? I don't have any form of housing, and I'm told they will function in that capacity, so I'm curious.

Is it worth trying to grind out 120 of these event TomeStones to make the 3 Odin-inspired gear items and the Sleipneir Barding, or is there another, easier way to get them?

Its really easy to do these days unsynced. Oh, yeah, using it for a Glamour is what I wanted, so good to know. Is there any reward from the event that is unique/otherwise unobtainable? E: is there a way to track the Odin FATE other than sitting in game all day?

Is there an ELI5 for Astrologian? It seems cool. It's listed as a Healing class, can it still DPS effectively enough for questing purposes?

Also so you’re not suddenly confused by certain people you thought were dead suddenly showing up in the msq, because their storylines were attached to the Crystal Tower raids. Can these raid things be done solo/is it easy enough to find a group? I'm working my way through Heavensward content, and have been pretty unsure about how the non-story stuff gets started/when to do what. E: what is "Hildebrand and post-moogle stuff"?
