I played the poo poo out of it.  Nevertheless, FFXIV's treatment makes his personality a bit more, uh, grandiose than I originally pictured him. Butt I don't mean that in a bad way, fight is fun and the constant give commentary just adds to it.

You should finish Omega normal at least because the story gets pretty solid right in the last couple fights. Also the fights are good.

Just handing you the i90 gear is kind of an apology for the upcoming post-Praetorium msq grind, so you don't have to spend time obtaining equipment in dungeons if you don't have a sugar daddy to craft stuff for you. On the other hand just imagine how much longer MSDR would take if half the party was i45-50 on top of the unskippable cutscenes.

Given the stinger at the end of the Return to Ivalice quests, we will definitely see a Math (Savage) boss at some point in the future. I'm down for more puzzle fights as long as they're interesting and have at least some variability. Bardam sub boss 2 and Haley Normal's sand trap are both neat but suffer for being exactly the same every time you do them.

It's always at least three days (I think? Unless they reduced it) after he's defeated before he appears again. Usually when he does somebody will mention in hunt LS / novice chat / FC / whatever that Tension weather is up, so no need to spend every waking minute in the Shroud waiting for him. His weather status was originally called Oppression but they changed it for some reason.

If you didn't pre-order ShB, any system updates marked as 2.0/3.0/4.0 will still apply to your game on Friday (up to the highest expansion you actually own), but you won't be able to level past 70, enter ShB zones, or do any content marked 5.0-only. In practice this means your jobs will work differently but you'll still be limited to playing in older content areas. If you pre order during early access my guess is everything will open up for you immediately.
