This is like the Democrats singing when Republicans voted to kill Obamacare. I don't get it! It would be one thing if the people who would rather have nuclear war than Trump get good press were like, frothing at the mouth anti-Republicans, but they aren't They're the same decorum-crats who love compromise and bi-partisanship. They really want to win, but only if they can win through Republicans scoring own goals. Why do you even care about winning if you don't try to win and if you don't do anything when you win?

A lot of European countries have small armies because of NATO, theoretically at least if France is attacked they'll have the entire US army on their side. If the US withdrew our troops from Europe couldn't that trigger a military build-up across the continent?

I think Bernie is right to call for civility, on a purely strategic level. There's a lot of political violence going on, and if Bernie says "gently caress em' up!" and somebody kills a Republican congressman, 2020 will have blanket ads showing bernie saying gently caress 'em up, smash cut to a crying widow
