I don't think it's about thinking of children first, in the case of online chat etc they probably just don't want any parents complaining or suing because Little Johnny heard someone say "gently caress" while playing his Nintendo. Also they don't develop or publish Senran Kagura, and those games are rated M by ESRB anyway.

Fate/Extella is out tomorrow Probably won't really know until later what's dropping. There's not much info on either NOE's or NOA's site about this week's releases. The only actual port of a Wii game to WiiU was, like, Twilight Princess I'm pretty sure (and technically that was a GameCube port). Well, maybe some indie or 3rd party stuff was ported from Wii to WiiU.
