i copied from an esata drive to another esata drive. very fast. filled up one drive. now i'm copying that drive to another drive but this one's slow. esata drive in a thing with just usb 3.0. tops out at 39 megabytes per second or so. gonna take all day when the previous thing just took an hour or two. this poo poo sucks

remember the combo esata + usb port that could deliver 5v and 12v power over the same cable as esata but laptops didn't hook up the 12v rail so only 2.5" drives worked?

I actually owned this 90MB/s flash drive before usb3 existed, nothing came with powered esata so you had to plug in usb for power as well

esata port multipliers can multiply your esata port into multiple esata ports isn't that cool? you can make a sick tower of dvd drives for all your optical drive needs and only use one esata cable!!!
