Colored person/people is not racist any more. It used to be racist in a not-meaning-to-be-racist 50s kinda way but now "Person/people of color" (poc) has become the accepted norm

People of color = colored people
Pencil of color = colored pencil
Photo of color = color photo

In fact I hardly ever ask for a pencil of color but when i do the person says "oh you mean a colored pencil? Ooh you do talk funny!"

And for that matter most black people aren't actually black. They're different shades and tones of brown.
Very few actually black people in the world, but if you look like this girl you could correctly call yourself black

Colored pencils haven't been subject to centuries of horrific racism so that may not be the best analogy anyone ever thought of.

No. Don't be daft. Words can't hurt so people need to toughen up.

With the exception of describing things as racist. That is never OK no matter what. You're being a real jerk if you even think it. Don't you know people have feelings?

The assumption that everyone who disagrees with you is a seething piece of poo poo about to erupt like a volcano made of irrational anger is one of the worst things about online discourse. It provides every disingenuous retard cocksucker with a cop-out that lets them feel like the undisputed debating champion of the world, letting likeminded idiot fuckers point to it and declare "ownage," fostering a polarized and hostile environment for the exchange of ideas where no-one can tell who is making better points because each side is caught up in deriding the other's perceived level of emotional involvement. Obviously this state of affairs will only get worse, never improving, because most people are the same kind of empty-headed, lazy dipshit exemplified by our very own forums user "Rubellavator."

In the 60's "black" was bad and "negro" was good.
