Yeah, I do like the cool touch outside. We used to keep our bread on top of the toaster oven but ours is NOT cool touch and it melted the bread bag. What I should be able to do is put a poptart into it at night and have it turn itself on and warm it in the morning. It could then ping me when it's ready to be eaten - a few minutes after it's done cooking. Molten pop tart innards burn.

back in the 90s my parents had some black & decker toaster oven, and you could just throw a bagel in and hit the lever down and would the lever would pop back up and ding when the bagel was toasted to the desired level now it seems like all the toaster ovens have some stupid timer knob that's too coarse to actually use for a bagel and it always ends up burned or undercooked, because who knows how long I need to toast it for anyways basically, does any one of some toaster that will toast bagels as well as a slot loader? my current slot loader has a short in the cord so i have to position the cord in a certain way to get it to work
