It's training camp season, which means it's also the season to figure out final depth charts. Let's go through the fun of over-analyzing preseason crap and see which 6th receiver will make the team over this other 6th receiver! The NFL made a big change to roster moves this year, eliminating the preliminary cut to 75 men and setting Sep. 2 as the day for teams to trim their rosters to 53. I'm interested to see how teams handle this (do they honor a "soft deadline" a week before, or are we seeing a total bloodbath of thousands of unemployed players on the same day?), but for now, let's go over current depth charts and make our best guesses. I'll start with my favorite team, as you'll hopefully follow suit! SEATTLE SEAHAWKS Quarterback Lock: Russell Wilson Bubble: Trevone Boykin, Austin Davis Pete's never carried three QBs, so the backup spot will come down to whoever looked better in preseason. Running back Lock: Eddie Lacy, Thomas Rawls, C.J. Prosise Solid: Alex Collins Bubble: Tre Madden Top three is clearly established, with Collins as injury insurance and I'm not sure what Madden does. Fullback Lock: Marcel Reece Cagey veteran who knows what he's doing and can catch passes. Everybody loves him. Wide receiver Lock: Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett, Paul Richardson, Amara Darboh Solid: Jermaine Kearse, Tanner McEvoy Bubble: Kenny Lawler, Marcus Lucas, David Moore, Darreus Rogers, Kasen Williams, Jamel Johnson, Cyril Grayson Kearse was trash last year and would be closer to the bubble if Lockett/PRich could stay healthy, but alas. Starters are set, everyone else is fighting for special teams jobs. Tight end Lock: Jimmy Graham, Luke Willson, Nick Vannett Bubble: Tyrone Swoopes, Stevie Donatell Pretty straightforward here, though Vannett has something to prove after a nondescript rookie year. Offensive line Lock: George Fant, Germain Ifedi, Mark Glowinski, Justin Britt, Luke Joeckel, Ethan Pocic Solid: Rees Odhiambo, Joey Hunt, Oday Aboushi Bubble: Robert Myers, Darrell Brown, Justin Senior, Jordan Roos The eternal  of the Seahakws' roster. Your guess is as good as mine as to how this line will turn out.Defensive line Lock: Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril, Frank Clark, Ahtyba Rubin, Jarran Reed Solid: Shaneil Jenkins, Quinton Jefferson, Nazair Jones, Dion Jordan Bubble: Will Pericak, Tylor Harris, Jeremy Liggins, Garrison Smith, Rodney Coe, David Bass PUP: Malik McDowell Remember Dion Jordan? I keep forgetting he's on my team now. Anyway, McDowell's ATV accident threw a huge wrench into the DT plans, and PUP might be generous based on reports he'll miss the whole year. Still, the starters are set in stone and there's enough depth to get by. Linebacker Lock: Bobby Wagner, K.J. Wright, Cassius Marsh Solid: Mike Morgan Bubble: Dewey McDonald, Michael Wilhoite, Ronald Powell, Terence Garvin, Kache Palacio, Otha Peters, D.J. Alexander, Marcus Smith Starters are set, Morgan is a special teams ace. I know nothing about the other guys, so I'm putting them in the "competing for special teams" pile. Marcus Smith is really pushing the "Pete loves draft bust reclamation projects" theory to its breaking point. Cornerback Lock: Richard Sherman, DeShawn Shead, Jeremy Lane, Shaq Griffin Solid: Mike Tyson Bubble: Pierre Desir, Deandre Elliott, Marcus Cromartie, Demetris McCray There's a chance Shead starts the season on PUP, but his ACL recovery is reportedly going well so I'm not ready to put him there yet. Otherwise, this is what you'd expect. Safety Lock: Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Delano Hill, Tedric Thompson Bubble: Brad McDougald Two starters, two backups. Nice and clean at safety, which hopefully won't get ruined by injuries like it was last year. Kicker Lock: Blair Walsh "Steven Hauschka had a down year, let's replace him with a broken Walsh and give him no camp competition" -- John Schneider, an otherwise smart man. Uh, okay. Punter Lock: Jon Ryan Yup. Long snapper Lock: Tyler Ott Mmm-hmm. Projected 53-man roster QB: Russell Wilson, Trevone Boykin RB:: Eddie Lacy, Thomas Rawls, C.J.
