oh man TT that's awful. Rascal is a goddamn good dog and it sucks that it's come to this. I hope you're able to find an amazing trainer near you. After losing a dog I was a little mentally prepared for I can't imagine how poo poo this is. If you wanna chat or whatever, let me know. I'm sure other goons would say the same.

There's a douche with a New Edge Mustang in the next complex over, has an exhaust that's obnoxiously loud even at idle*. He regularly starts it, spends like 15 minutes letting it warm up or whatever while occasionally blipping the throttle (usually at like 11pm when I'm trying to get to sleep), then slowly crawls through the parking lot before taking off down the road at full throttle. I just heard the distinctive sound of him pulling in, followed by screeching tires. RIP yet another pedestrian. *Seriously though, I had a loving 3 inch exhaust on the Protege, yet that car was pretty quite at idle. I get that dummies think louder = better, but engines don't even sound that great at idle, why bother putting that poo poo on loudspeaker?

Talk to him like a human, and if he says gently caress YOU or doesn't do anything, talk to the building management people. If they can't do anything, call the cops as a last resort. Obscenely loud cars and potato-potato-potato bikes one of my major annoyances and I've reluctantly had to call LE on assholes before. Last time was only after taking the time to repeatedly talk to the mouthbreathing kid and his dad... who said his kid was broke because he kept getting speeding tickets and spending money on his piece of poo poo for . He did however promise to fix the lovely, missing exhaust on his trash heap which was an absolutely clapped out JDM soarer. Never did, so he ended up with something like a $300 fine. Car was parked last time I saw it. gently caress that kid.

Anyone have recent experience with new or new-ish Challengers? Actually considering one for my next car, to replace my 2011 Mustang . My whole life I've been leery of quality control on Dodge/Chrysler products but maybe they are better now? Doesn't seem to be a Dodge or MOPAR megathread here. I'd go Mustang or Camaro again except those forums make it sound like recent models of those are having lots of QC problems themselves. My 2011 has been a champ so far (knock wood), it's just needed normal maintenance and one HVAC actuator replaced.

As someone who works on FCA stuff frequently, based on what I see behind the scenes I would say RUN AWAY but maybe the challengers are different Also thanks for all the support guys.

But you are doing the right thing for Rascal. Just enjoy the time you've got. Also, when you can, take the wifey on a nice trip - it doesn't have to be super fancy/expensive, just thoughtful. Helps her feel better, which helps you feel better. ps - scritch a rascal for me and feed him a cheeseburger

TT - pet that dogge please I went to a metal gig tonight. It was great however, the drive home was poo poo as google maps - despite being able to tell me when someone has parked badly in my quiet residential street - never seems to know about major motorway exit/entry slip road closures
