Pirlo gets beat, loses ball. Pirlo completely stops and throws up his hands looking for the penalty. Mattocks plays on, passes to Valeri, goal. Don't stop playing, especially right in front of the goal, dumbass.

Nikolic back Otherwise that CHI-NYRB game was pretty meh though. You'd think it would have been better between two playoff teams.

Hello Towel posted:Nikolic back The game really wasn't high quality from either team. The refereeing was complete poo poo. I think Chicago really missed Schweinsteiger today - NY was completely free to pressure our back line and create some mistakes and bad situations, and the play from the back and midfield was way less deliberate than usual.

Absolutely we missed Schweinsteiger. The number of times one of the fullbacks would try to swing a long ball up the sideline to no one in particular was maddening. And I still don't see the foul on the Fire's disallowed goal.

Signs your team is bad: When your announcing crew actively calls the team out for scared play and sarcastically remarks on a momentary good play. I'm glad the announcers have had it just like the fans have, it's something at least. Otherwise Rapids at Dynamo is very bad, much like any other Rapids game this year.

37' in and both fans look even. Houston is kind of playing down to the Rapids. Feels like one team will do something stupid, the other team will score and that's it.

And the game has resumed after a lackluster first half, aaaaaand Ford gets a yellow. Meanwhile Badji has a great shot and has no help to follow up on the rebound. This team.

And Alex catches Saied, late, high and studs first on his right leg, draws a yellow. Meanwhile, VAR time.

This is a brand new stadium for Atlanta? Why would the league let them build another turf field?
|

Because they're sharing it with the Atlanta Falcons.

also because Garber really wanted to be in business with Blank, and just let it slide in exchange for a fat expansion fee
