Problem description: My PC used to boot really quickly. Now it boots quickly then shuts down completely. I put the power back on and it boots extremely slowly. This just seemed to start randomly.

Attempted fixes: Lots of fiddling with start-up (clipped it back to the bare essentials, mucked around with lots of settings), automatic repair, registry repair, disabling AMD card which I heard can cause a clash, system restore, checked the internal cabling, everything short of a windows reinstall.

Recent changes: I replaced the power supply recently but this started approx ten days later. It may have been caused by a windows update but interestingly my Management Engine Interface is showing a power failure.
