Wait, so the greatest mystery in ancient history turns out to be loving Troy, the foundation of western storytelling?
How does this timeline compare to expected dates of the Illiad's origination?
And archeological evidence of Troy's destruction date, and the fall of the Hittite's?

Meteoric iron doesn't really factor into this, by the late bronze age not only were bronze alloys stronger than meteoric iron, but a method for small scale smelting of terrestrial iron was created by the Hittite's and known in most all of the affected cultures. The Egyptians knew it and were notable in their disdain for iron, preferring and sticking to bronze all the way until the neo-assyrian conquest well into the iron age.
