no it’s just someone reusing the default keycaps in their preferred positions, they actually complained about the colors not matching in their review

I rebound the keys on my kinesis:

Original Kinesis thumb buttons:
[Back Space] [Delete] ------- [Enter] [Space]

Mine:
[Space] [Back Space] ------ [Delete] [Enter]

Here's why this is better: you use your left hand to delete characters to the left of your cursor, and then you use your right hand to delete characters to the right of your cursor. This also optimizes the most frequently used keys to my good hand, and reduces overall reach for the most commonly pressed buttons.

i swapped delete and tab on the original kinesis layout. i hardly ever use delete but i'm autocompleting and indenting like a maniac

I set up the thumbclusters on my Ergodox in exactly the same way, for exactly the same reasons.

typing on keybaords like that must require professional musician levels of coordination.

normally typing is a linear thing, one then two

but having to remember keybaord chords to get the correct characters??? chuck that poo poo in the ocean imo

It's just as easy as Legos these days. The hardest part is deciding which switches to use because there are just so many now.

When current passes through them, electrons in the semiconductors recombine with electron holes, releasing energy in the form of photons.
