That's a little bit of an overreaction dude, that guitar would be played for a week and then sit in a case in the closet for years until the guy's mom sold it on craigslist for $100 because he moved to costa rica to be a surf bum and never calls home because there's not a place with electricity within 500 miles of where he lives now, dude.

Trig Discipline posted:Amplitube is great for recording, but yeah it sounds like a massive pain in the butt for live stuff. If I were going to do that, I'd probably get a mac mini that I would set up just for that purpose or something. I think you can run it off an Ipad. I know bias can, don't know about amplitube. But IMO the cheapest high gain solution for playing live is just a craigslist sourced 6505+ with a random cab.

You mean there's gear other than the soldano and a tube screamer in amplitube?

Also I know a store that still sells 90s as gently caress jazz musician clothes but it also is the same place to buy 7 button purple suits though all the mannequins have pinky rings and fur boas.

s.i.r.e. posted:It's a normal Sanwa button, though it's a bit smaller. When I had it installed he told me that the Switch wouldn't work, because the Switch is naturally off (it only sends input when it's pressed) so you'd have to hold the button to have the guitar make any sound, we opened up the Buckethead LP to see how it's wired or if the switch is different and found that it's the same exact Switch but it's not wired like you'd think. A regular killswitch is wired up to just cut the signal but on the Buckethead LP it's wired to the volume knob's low end, so it's not killing the signal at all but rather instantly "turning the knob to 0." We wired up the Steinberger the same way and there's no humming or pops when using it. Pretty clever. Lol I guessed "huh looks like you just put an arcade switch that shorts the signal to ground when you press it"

At one of the local venues (orpheum, dive bar with a stage) here in Tampa the sound guy is a death metal/grind core dude so that place always sounds surprisingly good.

Anime Reference posted:I wonder if the weirder guitars on Rondo are customs that somebody ordered while drunk and refused to pay the balance on after they sobered up. Look at this thing, for instance. How are you going to get your djent on with nothing but a neck pickup? I guess somebody wanted to do a Charlie Hunter thing and then had second thoughts. That feels like a genie designed it when some teenager wished he had a guitar like Tosin Abasi
