Liverpool players have now realised that they can also live there and just commute an hour each way to work, which means not living in Liverpool and also not having to listen to insane rants about Bill Shankly any time you go to Homebase for some bathroom tiles

I'm not convinced that was ever the actual plan, more that it just sounded better to present to the IOC than pointing out that a long-term sustainable olympic bid is sort of like a long-term sustainable weekend coke binge
