I have an Amazon echo on my bedside table and want to wake up to it playing me the radio. Now amazon, in their infinite wisdom, have made that impossible without doing unspeakably hacky things. Of which I will speak. The basic premise is to record myself saying “alexa play radio xxx” and set me phone alarm to that. Next to the echo. Now the problem is getting an app to play my “track” as an alarm once. The standard, and the first 5 apps I have tried continuously repeat the loving thing until I snooze or cancel the alarm. This really shouldn’t be this difficult!

I do not have an echo, or anything like it, but can't you use If This Then That for this? https://ifttt.com/ that's basically how all the people I know that use echos/whatever get around base program limitations. Although maybe this only handles communication between 2 devices and not adding functionality to a single device... Does this not do what you want? https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=202110510 Not sure what options you get when you go to edit the alarm and change sounds. If you need further assistance with this I would suggest posting in the Inspect Your Gadgets forum, as this forum is more focused on actual computers than smart gadgets.

I can get the echo to set the alarm but t gives you like 10 different tones to wake up to. I will post in inspect your gadgets thanks
