I have a situation where I would like to protect a windows SMB share from something like cryptolocker. Users on the network obviously have read access to the share but I wanted to have writes/modify protection with a username and password. I just can't tell how this can be accomplished. Maybe it can't. Any help is appreciated.

Maybe it can't. I also don't know if the file sharing interface in the home version of windows will somehow interfere with these settings.
