If we had a Howard era LNP in Parliament with Shorten ALP, the ALP would be exiled to the far realms of Electoral Oblivion for the next four election terms with the sort of poo poo like Dastyari popping up. Shorten and his era of ALP are only going to win the next election because Abbott/Turnbull LNP are beating them in a contest of falling down the stairs. Without the LNP to contrast against and Besieged Malcolm on the front page so often, the factional infighting and drama of the ALP would be the focus of media outlets. Shorten is only desirable in the same way that, after a nasty case of food poisoning from a service station pie, you just really want a piece of plain bread.

You can see how the Libs are trying to shift the focus of the RC into super funds but seriously, if they don't actually go after banks then George Christensen and the other Nats pushing for this will run riot and it'll just divide the Coalition even further apart.

Then someone said that flip-flopping political stances based on who currently has a slim majority isn't the best idea and you brought up dictatorships for some reason. I think we want politicians who are honest about who they are and have personal convictions, instead of politicians terrified of supporting basic legal rights for homosexuals until it looks popular enough to become safe.

As it stands, I have a hour commute each way to uni and I just listen to music/nap and that isn't so bad, also it's not like I'm out there every day for 7-8 hours on top of the commute time. But I remember when I worked 10-7 every day and then had 3 hours total of travelling to and from work on top of that and I just never had time to do anything, it was horrible.
