Hey friends. Supercross is back, and boy is it different this time around. This thread is for discussing the ban on the Alta from the 250 class, mocking Ralph Shaheen, and Fantasy SX poo poo talking. Scores after Round 1: This year we're doing PulpMX Fantasy. I welcome anyone else to start a RMMC Fantasy group as well, and I can put the info here. Instructions: 1. https://www.pulpmxfantasy.com 2. Sign up using your SA username (preferably) 3. Select leagues 4. Join Goons (pw: ralph) Format 1. Pick 4 riders in both the 250 and 450 classes each week. 2. Cannot pick the same rider two weeks in a row. 3. Riders are given "handicaps". Handicaps adjust points earned based on finish position. Example: Rider with handicap of 4 finishes 11, points awarded for 7th. 4. You must pick at least 1 "All-Star" for each team. "All-Star" riders are classified as the current top 8 in points for each class. Riders not categorized as "All-Star" are worth double points if they're handicap-adjusted finish is in the top 10. 5. Optional: Guess the race leader at the end of lap 1. +15 points for correct pick, -15 points for incorrect pick.

Do you guys want to do rocky mountain again this year or try the new pulp fantasy site? The pulp one is in the moto dynasty format which was picking by handicap, can't pick the same racers two weeks in a row, etc. I'd be down for either/both. Smart money is on Tomac for the championship, but I'm going out on a limb and saying Roczen if he races all rounds of SX. I just think he's the most mentally tough of the big 3 and I feel the mental game is where it's going to be won this year. However, you could make a really a strong argument for any combination of Tomac/Musquin/Roczen and who knows how the format of the "3 mains" may make some people getting surprise overall results in those triple crown rounds.

Before the Baker's factory, Osbourne did some training with Tomac, I guess. I want to say maybe Zach Bell (pocket rocket) did too, but maybe I'm adding an extra Zach. Osbourne for sure. I'm with you, J Mart seems to be all over the place. Pretty cool for him to be trying some west coast 450 races, though. I'm curious to see if he's better or more consistent on the 450 in supercross. Semis were removed primarily because they were losing viewership during this time. Semi's are essentially a heat for people who aren't top riders, but who are good enough to not create drama. The LCQ's are popular because of how brutal they are. The Semi's are just boring. This week I'm going to figure out how to get a stream/watch party going. I'll post the info later this week.

A1 Track Map: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKTU0Dlpgq4 Big news: they're now putting big bowl turns on the outside of the track, and putting up nets so no one launches themselves into the stand. This is a big deal, because now the turns should be a lot faster for the outside line. In past tracks, outside turns were almost flat, causing everyone to slam on the brakes and take the inside line.

I hope it helps the racing. I'm pretty pumped for A1. I have my picks up on the fantasy site, I think this handicap thing will be quite the learning curve. I'm going to try and catch practice so I can see what's going on during that time.

Guys will switch back and forth occasionally. It's usually a 250 guy going to 450 for a weekend to fill in for someone who was injured though. 450: Tomac Webb Reed Musquin 250: Cianciarulo Savatgy A. Martin Craig I haven't followed 250 too closely in the past, so that should be interesting

There are rules that force people to move to 450s, but if you haven't met them you can be mobile. Kenny tops the qualys!
