Former Czech Spy, Jeremy Corbyn, made his most dastardly move yet when it emerged that, he had infact, not been a Czech spy, informant or otherwise, covering his tracks through a noticable lack of evidence, and being in another part of the country at the same time when it was claimed most of these meetings were going on. Despite the media's valiant efforts to warn us of the Red Menace, the only source of this information is former Czech agent, Jan Sarkocy, who reliably claimed to have personally organised Live Aid as part of a Czechoslovakian government plot, and is clearly not a delusional person, who can be utterly trusted in with everything that he says as fact. Social Media The Tories finally cracked social media, with the most retweeted tweet ever tweeted from an Conservative account: Ben Bradley, Youth Minister - famous for, among other things; calling for forced vasectomies for the unemployed, and wanting to blast rioters with water cannons ("splat the chav") - managed to achieve this notable goal by libeling Jeremy Corbyn: One quick phone call to some solicitors later: https://twitter.com/bbradleymp/status/967526680188375040 Yep. To not face legal action, Bradley had to delete the tweet, issue a full apology (with specific wording that it be retweeted), and agreed to make a substantial donation to a charity of Corbyn's choice and pay his legal costs. The donation would be split between a homeless charity and a foodbank in Bradley’s constituency of Mansfield. At last, a Tory MP is finally contributing something worthwhile to their community. In other social media news, after the spectacular failure of ACTIVATE, and knowing that the Tories are simply unable to compete with Momentum and "da yoof" on twitter and have no organic social media presence, Tory chairman, Brandon Lewis, has decided the easiest way to counter this is to throw money at people to spread good things about the Tories. (Note: the full article is paywalled - but the first paragraph is enough) No way that looks desperate at all, and is surely the way to encourage the youth voters- hey wait where are the youths going? If he was an elected MP and UKIP had an honest to goodness parliamentary presence then I could understand booking him. But 32 times! For a party that, ok, took a massive vote share one time but wasn't able to convert that to seats, have achieved their aims in loving us off out of Europe so are now essentially redundant I just don't get it. I remember being roasted in a previous UKMT for defending the BBC about something or other, but I've done a full 180 now. Burn the Beeb to the loving ground and start again

Rarity posted:There's a few patches of snow outside my door, not even enough to fully cover the ground. Snowpocalypse sucks You can't tell the pavement from the road here, and I had to dig a path out the back before the dog would go out to pee - he took one quick jump outside, found that the snow was torso level, and came back in and tried to go straight back to bed. The hill we live on is basically undriveable even in slight snow, so there's three abandoned cars just down the road, including one that bumped into the back of a neighbour sideways. It's not great here.
