Fans posted:Paradox are pretty good about releasing content for their games post launch and the Tropico team loved their expansion packs so I'm fairly sure we're due to see more official stuff too. Paradox is already selling a season pass that contains two content packs and two full expansions so we have that much to expect as a minimum.

AFAIK it's randomized based on your coordinate seed. Try the same location with an easier sponsor and see if you get the same ones.

Yeah there are 55 breakthrough techs but you only get 13-19 per game. It's a neat way of shaking up "optimal" build orders and priorities each game.

Then had to abandon my second game because a rocket glitched out during launch preparations and is now stuck in rocket launch limbo for all eternity. Not very enthusiastic about starting a third game. I haven't even seen a single mystery yet. These bugs were fixed in the latest patch.

I think it works as follows: if comfort goes high enough they'll breed, if sanity goes too low they do something stupid and if their morale stays too low they'll take a ship back to Earth but if it's high they'll work harder. Pretty sure having high or low comfort and sanity give bonus/malus to morale.

It looks like they're doing the paradox thing of splitting the DLC into gameplay, music and cosmetic packs. So Space Race is the gameplay, Marsvision Song Contest is a new radio station and the Colony Design Set adds 25 new buildings. It's not clear if the new buildings add new gameplay or are just different sizes of existing ones. You get them all if you have the season pass though.

I think I’m going for fun considering last night she wanted to to some things, but I said let’s figure out how it works first and it was just me doing the tutorials. I think I might just do that for CS too. She really wants me to get the disaster pack for that lol You can build tunnels that give you access to plateaus and valleys.

Alkydere posted:Also they changed how Wasterock Liquefaction works now. Instead of your drones running to a dumping site to convert rock to concrete by hand there's a building that does it now. I was wondering why my wasterock wasn't disappearing for a good while until I figured that out. India starts with a version of this that turns waste rock into metal, plus their transport rover can build stuff with the cargo it's carrying around which lets you sprawl quickly in the early game.

I have 90 hours in the game so far. There are 55 breakthrough techs of which you can only get up to 19 each game. The standard techs are semi-randomised on each seed and there are 12 different mysteries each of which can change up your run quite a bit. Then you have the sponsors who have been made cooler with the DLC and different map terrains and weather variances can change up your priorities. Then you have a whole list of levers to change the game difficulty etc etc

I prefer generalist domes as they tend to be more resilient to resource or population shocks in the event of a disaster.

Space race adds the sponsor specific unique units and buildings as well as the sponsor goals, both of which I wouldn't want to play without anymore. The colony design DLC adds the different sized buildings which I've found to be pretty handy.

It's part of the colony design set DLC: nine new buildings: Living Quarter – 3 hexes (Large building was renamed to Living Complex) Small Space Bar – 3 hexes Small Electronics Factory – 3 hexes Small Machine Parts Factory – 3 hexes Small Art Store – 1 hex Small Grocer – 1 hex Large Wind Turbine – 6 hexes Large Oxygen Tank – 7 hexes Large Garden – 10 hexes The rest are alternative models of existing buildings: Apartments Stirling Generator Shuttle Hub Drone Hub Moxie Arcology Smart Home, Smart Complex (new models for both sizes) Infirmary Polymer Plant Rare Metal Extractor Metals Extractor Concrete Extractor Hydroponic Farm Research Lab Diner Water Extractor Living Quarter (new models for both sizes)

Mayveena posted:Hey folks, noob here . How do I get the drones to bring parts from one part of the base to another? I was trying to set up another fuel refinery some distance from the existing one and where the rest of the bast is, but they won't bring the machine parts from one place to the other. Help appreciated. You need to make sure drone hub service areas at least slightly overlap and put a universal depot in the overlapping area, also make sure to put universal depots near the hubs themselves. Your drones will travel back and forth to make sure each depot has supplies in it.
