It doesn't feel like conspiracy theories used to be this way, where something was always just about to happen and adherents were kept at a fever pitch, and I just don't understand how it's not exhausting for the people involved. One  explanation is that generating fake excitement and enthusiasm for something is an easier element of persistent astroturfing campaigns.

Qanon is going to become indistinguishable from mainstream republican thought if the popular narrative of this election is that the deep state stole it. Which it is. Plus Trump is gonna start winking at it way more because it stokes his ego and implies a way greater presidential legacy, and an ongoing one to campaign on.

I have no idea how this is going to play out for the GOP. I read so many comments about voting being worthless now, wanting a third party, but I know they will keep cranking the lever for them. This whole election thing is partly by design right, by refusing to count mail votes early they knew it would look stolen and that'd rile their base up. But I think it's become bigger than they even expected.
