any guesses to what this new event's going to be?

I was pleasantly surprised to get Vader last night after coming back to this game only a month or two ago and not even really playing all that much in that time span. I understand the stuff after Vader is where the real grind is but I am so used to battle passes being full of mostly unobtainable things for those not willing to devote their lives to playing it. I also genuinely love that for the most part you don't really need to chase down quests for XP, even at the end we'd go in with an idea of one thing to do maybe but come out with 3-4 other things finished. Game's genuinely very good and fun and am looking forward to the new season thing

This is also the best time to grab exp since all the season quests and vibin quests are out. Don't forget to do the Indiana Jones missions before the season is over, they are all easy.

They removed getting experience in the Frozst Survival creative mode. (except timed) This stinks. I'll miss being able to easily grind out 2-4 levels in 30 minutes.

What are some creative mode maps that give good exp?

edit: Never mind, logged in today and got a message that Frozst Survival was undergoing an exp calibration. They gave me exp for a game I played last night.

Did I use explosive goo to damage him, destroy the tree he used for cover, and have the rolling tree log finish him off for the win? Yes.

King of Flukes. It owned.

Congrats. Getting your first solo victory owns.

If you're looking for a safer hiding place than a portopotty: find a chrome vortex in circle, go around until you reach the top, open your glider, fly to the center of the vortex, and just float around. As an added bonus you heal due to being chromed.

You can gain about 3 levels a day playing the Frozst Survival mode. The trick is to spend gold on the random item chest. Depending on the round it grants you 1k to 3k experience every item.

https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/creative/island-codes/frozst-survival-2228-7588-2382
Power ups and floating coins give like 2k exp but only to the player that grabs them. This is the only custom/fan mode I come back to.

Unless you mean that you could save a loadout including what's marked favorite so a frozen skin picks from some random favorited icy blue wraps/pickaxes but a sports skin picks sports stuff only. In which case I want that too.

I mean the latter. I have too many saved in my locker and just want to cycle through a few some nights.

I ended up dodging a deku smash by bouncing up with hammer, then switched to my own deku smash and countered for the win. Felt good to do that as Doom Slayer, but I was so surprised by my own victory I forgot to do a dance afterwards.

I think the new Gohan and Piccolo skins were each supposed to have one more form and they got lazy/decided not to finish.

Gohan should go from SSJ to Beast form, this is kind of obvious when you transform from SSJ back to normal. Gohan has a loud scream/transformation to revert to normal form. He also has a beast axe.

Piccolo doesn't go into his orange form. There is a spray for his orange form. I wonder when they decided to not do 3 forms for Gohan/Piccolo.

This is because sometimes it lets you pick up medallions that are the result of someone else's kill, but those don't count for the actual goal.

Anyway after like the third time of getting stopped from looting a vault by someone using the skin you get from finishing the quests, I got sick of it and forced a couple bot matches just to get the quest done.

As for the Witcher custom maps, the escort one is short enough, I didn't really mind the obstacle course one but I like those kinds of things (I grew up playing counterstrike jump/climb maps), the pvp one sorta sucks but at least is fast enough if you can figure out who's afk and just go for them over and over.

But the one with the boss, holy gently caress, half the team was afk so it was just the two of us doing like 200~ damage per cylce, it took forever and was just so boring, run to the fire, hit the boss, run to the fire, hit the boss. gently caress.

How do you force bot matches?

How many games do you play against bots at first? I assume the ones I won were all bots. I think I've played 3 rounds that had people.

What does a common loadout look like in this? I'm not sure which of these items I should be holding since it's not like other BRs with a fixed number of things that equals how many slots you have or you have a bigger pack like in Apex.

There's so much bonus stuff to do. Should I bother with any of it or just focus on running around finding boxes and killing people?

My favorite normal loadout is a Cobra DMR, Combat Shotgun or Maven , SMG or Suppressed AR, katana, and Med Mist.

Mr Hootington posted:

A typical load out is 2-3 weapons with 1-2 medical items and a movement item.

This guy nailed it. For weapons, try always having a long ranged, mid-ranged, and close ranged weapon in your loadout.
