I'm not really a hip-hop fan (metal guy here), but I gave this a listen and really enjoyed it. I dunno how much technical criticism I can give since it's not really my genre, but in general I thought you did a solid job articulating a distinct ambiance for each track. First few tracks made me think that this is what a Tom Waits hip-hop album would sound like, and I really like the distorted vocals. If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to get the vocal distortion?

Thank you. I'm very flattered. If you like those first few tracks, you'll like Part 2. I also do metal (it's my main inspiration.) Part 2 will feature more metal. As for distortion I use a mixture of amp software available through Hardcore in FLStudio and sometimes an old Line 6 Spider on top of that. Sometimes I record through my phone, upload it, and then pitch it differently. I sometimes double and triple-track vocals and pitch each of those differently overlaid on top of an original recording.
