Gotta love how the first enemy leader in these games is always the complete and utterly indefensible douchebag with oily hair. "Rape, killing civilians and burning down villages is fun, weee!" And by becoming his enemy, then the Empire becomes your enemy. And they're more gray in motive, but you're committed now because you fought douchebag or at least he burned down your village. Like...imagine if the Stormtroopers in Star Wars: A New Hope just sat down and let Aunt Beru give them tea. "Oh, we just want those droids, we're pretty sure the Jawas you bought them from stole them." As opposed to "Well, the kid has the droids, so let's burn down the farm. And then leave before he comes back."
