The next movie better not make me shave anything :(

Im broke. I have had no income for 8 months. I found a 40" Philips LCD TV in a dumpster. I have extra cabling, so I plugged it in. The screen looks like it took a fall. Ive seen videos where tightening up the ribbon connection to the LCD display will clear up vertical lines. Here is a picture of what is going on. judging by the circles, my guess is its completely hosed.



If fixing the screen itself isnt possible, Im willing to replace the screen. But I cant find a source for a replacement screen.

The LCD panel is cracked. Unless you can find the exact panel to replace it with, you’re better off just ditching that TV and finding something else.

Thats what I thought. Ill keep it for a trade in at a local shop. They give you a good discount for turning even husks.
