This is the Douche Tracker thread, which died in December and doesn't have a lot in it: https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3830055 I'm not sure if we're just rolling all of the anthem-protest stuff into NFL Owners, but if not, here's a nomination for Jerry Jones: me, in October posted:Jerry Jones two weeks ago: kneels alongside his team during the national anthem. https://twitter.com/mortreport/status/917541753242210305 And Clay Travis, for a bunch of poo poo that I can't quote because archives: https://twitter.com/groovinmahoovin/status/908032886762287107 https://twitter.com/chrislhayes/status/908826788918435842 https://twitter.com/ClayTravis/status/914668549460971521 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSCneVakGGk I know Clay Travis is low-hanging fruit because his job is to generate Hot Takes, but he had himself a pretty good year, it looks like.

The Jed York argument seems like a bit of a stretch; he's an NFL owner with all that that entails, but he's not creating as much of a Hostile Work Environment as Jerry Richardson.

Jerry Jones. Let the Eagles fans have their fun.

NFL Owners. At some point (probably next round if they go against Jerruh) I think I drop them because they're a group as opposed to a specific individual, but both they and ESPN are nebulous groups, and blackballing Kaepernick and Eric Reid plus their deference to someone who won't really return the favor at all puts them over the top.

Agreed that this is an off year for Touchdown Tom, but forcing a franchise quarterback out of town for no good reason is exactly the kind of weird nonsense that gets you through a couple rounds of this tournament, Buffalo Bills.

The DA is dumb, but I'm voting for the cops because they seem to have more malice behind their actions.

Jason Whitlock is a regular in this tournament for good reason.

Not to sell Gronk short for his late hit and being a member of the douchiest organization in football, but Clay Travis is the king of nuclear sports takes.

Bob McNair for doing his best Jerry Jones impersonation. Benching Eli was kinda lovely, but if not for the streak it wouldn't have been nearly as big of a deal.

Pete Carroll has always been low-key nuts (which makes him that much better of a foil for Jim Harbaugh) and the Jordan Peterson thing is regrettable but not out of character for him. But it doesn't really hold a candle to actively creating a hostile work environment, so Jerry Richardson gets my vote, although he's going to lose value for me in later rounds because it's not clear how much of it happened this year.

Jerry Jones is the rich capitalist villain of a kids' movie.

The Chargers' big act of douchery was the decision to move out of SD and into a soccer stadium, which happened last year, so I'll go with The Bills for their attempt to screw up the development of their franchise quarterback.

Ches Neckbeard posted:Janson Whitlock brought a man onto his show in loving blackface this year. Collinsworth sucks but Whitlock is literally Uncle Ruckus. Collinsworth's lovely call of the Super Bowl was bad, and I don't regret voting for him last round, but I don't think Uncle Verne ever got into this contest for having a hard-on for Tim Tebow and Alabama, or Musburger for poorly hiding which team he bet on.

Jerry Jones. Richardson's stuff came to light this year but didn't happen this year, so he loses points out of pedantry, and Jones has had an excellent year of trying to pretend he's not racist against his own players.

Sean McDermott and the Bills tried to gently caress over their own players at the expense of, you know, winning football games.

Whitlock's impact is that he provides cover to other douches, like McNair, for their douchiness. Besides, we don't want two douche owners in the final to steal each other's votes.

1. Trump 2. Whitlock 3. אֲדֹנָי I don't mind Whitlock winning, honestly; he's just not as much of a piece of poo poo as our president, even restricting things to football.
